These terms and conditions govern the relationship between you (the client) and Serengeti Ranger regarding booking, payment, cancellation, and other conditions related to your tour or safari in Tanzania. By booking with us, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
1.1. All bookings must be made through Serengeti Ranger via our official website, email, or authorized agents.
1.2. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour cost. The deposit confirms your reservation and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
1.3. The remaining balance of the total tour cost must be paid no later than 1 day prior to the start of the tour unless otherwise agreed. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in the cancellation of your booking.
2.1. The prices quoted are in any agreed currency and include all services listed in the confirmed itinerary (accommodation, meals, transportation, game drives, park entry fees, and any other items specified).
2.2. Prices do not include international flights, visas, travel insurance, tips, personal expenses (e.g., laundry, drinks, phone calls), and any additional activities not outlined in the itinerary.
2.3. Serengeti Ranger reserves the right to change the tour price due to fluctuations in taxes, fuel surcharges, or other costs beyond our control. In such cases, you will be notified immediately.
3.1. If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify Serengeti ranger in writing via email. The following cancellation charges will apply, based on the date of cancellation:
4.1. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients booking a tour with Serengeti Ranger. This insurance must cover personal accident, medical expenses, trip cancellations, emergency evacuations, and any other expenses that may arise during the trip.
4.2. Serengeti ranger will not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during your trip.
5.1. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they are physically fit and healthy for the safari or tour activities.
5.2. Serengeti Ranger will provide guidance on health precautions, including necessary vaccinations and medications (e.g., malaria prophylaxis). However, it is the client’s responsibility to consult with a healthcare provider before departure.
5.3. For your safety, clients must adhere to the instructions of their guides at all times during the safari. Failure to comply may result in exclusion from the tour without refund.
6.1. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport and any required visas to enter Tanzania. Serengeti Ranger can provide assistance with visa information but is not responsible for any issues related to visas or travel documents.
6.2. Clients are also responsible for any required vaccinations or health documentation required to enter Tanzania.
7.1. While Serengeti ranger strives to provide a safe and enjoyable tour experience, safaris inherently involve certain risks (e.g., encounters with wildlife, rough terrain, and remote locations). Clients participate in the safari at their own risk.
7.2. Serengeti Ranger will not be held liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage to personal property during the tour, except where it arises from gross negligence on our part.
7.3. Serengeti Ranger is not liable for any delays, changes, or cancellations due to weather conditions, airline schedules, or other factors beyond our control.
8.1. Serengeti Ranger reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary for reasons including, but not limited to, safety, weather conditions, or park regulations.
8.2. Any significant changes to the itinerary will be communicated to the client as soon as possible. In the event of a major itinerary change, clients will be given the option to accept the changes or receive a refund for any services not provided.
9.1. Serengeti Ranger will not be liable for any failure to perform, delays, or cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government regulations, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.
10.1. Any complaints must be made in writing to Serengeti Ranger within 10 days of the end of the tour. We will make every effort to address and resolve any issues during or after the trip.
10.2. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably, the matter will be referred to a competent Tanzanian court or legal authority for resolution.
11.1. Serengeti Ranger reserves the right to use any photos or videos taken during the tour for promotional or marketing purposes unless the client explicitly requests otherwise in writing before the start of the tour.
11.2. Clients who do not wish to appear in such media should inform their guide at the beginning of the tour.
12.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tanzania.
12.2. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in Tanzanian courts.
